birdiefm.com is Birdie's personal website and shop. This page explains, in plain language, what information the site collects and what happens to it. The short version: very little, only what's needed for the site to work, and it's never sold.
What the site collects
- Guestbook notes and comments. The name and message you write, and when you wrote it. These are shown publicly on the site.
- Signing in (optional). If you sign in with Google, Twitch, or Discord to comment, the site receives and keeps your display name, your profile picture, and an account number from that service. It does not get your password, and it does not ask for your email from those services. If you sign in with email, your email address is kept so you can sign in again, and it's never shown publicly.
- Sign-in codes. When you ask for an email code, a scrambled copy of the code is kept for up to 10 minutes, then deleted.
- Visits. The homepage counts visits as a single running number. It doesn't record who visited.
- Site statistics. The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views, the pages visited, the website you came from, and your general device type. It doesn't use cookies or track you across other websites.
- Spam protection. Forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you're a person. Cloudflare may look at information about your browser to do this.
Cookies and saved info in your browser
- If you sign in, a cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. Signing out removes it.
- Your shopping cart and the name you last commented with are saved in your own browser (not on the site's servers), so they're there next time.
- There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Shopping
Checkout, payment, and shipping are handled by Fourthwall. When you check out, the information you enter (like your name, address, email, and payment details) goes to Fourthwall and is covered by Fourthwall's own privacy policy. birdiefm.com itself doesn't see or store your payment details.
Who else is involved
- Cloudflare hosts the site and its data, and provides the statistics and spam protection.
- Fourthwall runs checkout, payments, and order shipping.
- Resend sends sign-in code emails.
- Google, Twitch, and Discord, only if you choose to sign in with one of them.
Your information is never sold or shared for advertising.
Keeping and removing your info
Notes, comments, and sign-in details are kept until they're removed. To have your comments, guestbook notes, or sign-in details deleted, or to ask what the site has about you, email contact@birdiefm.com.
Kids
The site isn't meant for children under 13, and it doesn't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, this page will be updated along with the date at the top.
